Bobcats, get your moves ready! TOMORROW IS THE DAY! Danceathon will happen rain or shine! Due to the forecasted wet and cold day, the event will be in the gym. Join us Friday, October 11 from 6-9 p.m. for our biggest fundraiser and family party of the year!

This is a FREE event for all Beverly students, staffs, and families. Tickets are NOT necessary to attend. You may purchase tickets that will be used as tokens to pay for food, drinks, snacks, desserts, DJ shout-outs, special request teacher dance, plus raffles for TONS of great prizes. The kids will hop, skip, jump, sway or dance as long as they're moving! They'll rotate twice and be with their entire grade, so there will be lots of kiddos on the dance floor!

If every kid in the school gets one more $25 donation, we would meet our $20,000 goal and get to silly string Ms. Quirl, toilet paper wrap Ms. Benatovich, have Mr. Porter wear crazy clothes to school, tape Ms. Bulino and Ms. Morley to the wall, and throw a pie in Ms. Savant’s face.
Even more important, we would be able to fund most of the programs PTA provides for the school that the school’s budget can’t cover. We can do it!

Parent volunteers, come and join us on October 16 at 11am-1pm, for our Workroom Wednesday! During this time, we will help our fabulous teachers with tasks like copying, laminating, cutting, etc. Bring your lunch, and have fun socializing with other Beverly parents during this low-key time that is so helpful to our teachers!

Join us for Girl's Night Out on Friday, October 25, 7-9pm, at 2010 Westbury Lane, Allen TX. Bring your favorite snack or treat (homemade or store-bought welcome!), and come enjoy conversation and fun with other moms at Beverly.

Lanay is our amazing PTA Hospitality coordinator as well as one of our Grade Level Coordinators for first grade. She has been working hard since before school started back to spoil our teaches with special breakfasts, luncheons and treats. We are so thankful for all of your hard work, Lanay! Please enjoy the volunteer of the month special parking spot in the front parking lot for the month of October. You can pick up your parking placard from Lisa in the front office.

**TONIGHT** Come and join our PTA Meeting tonight at 6pm! Our meeting will be followed by our first Parent Work Night at 6:30.

You’ve asked, and we’ve listened! Tonight will be our inaugural PTA Parent Work Night for ANY parents who love to help but can’t make it up to the school during the day! This will allow us to help our wonderful teachers, AND get to know other parents simultaneously. This is happening on Thursday, October 3, from 6:30-8. We will meet in Room 500 immediately following the General PTA meeting at 6pm.

You don’t need any special experience or training to help! We’ll have everything you need!

✅Yes, this work night is happening during the 4th grade music program, and we totally understand that parents of 4th graders will not be able to make it to this work night. We will have several more this year that you can attend.

STOP Club applications will be going out early this week and are due back by September 25th.

What is STOP? Students Thinking of Peers is a PTA sponsored organization meant to encourage our older students of Beverly Elementary to become positive influences in the community. At the school level, students are expected to be good role models to their peers and younger students in the school by being respectful, courteous and friendly. In the local community, STOP students participate in outreach programs to learn how to help others, such as a coat and winter clothing drive in fall, make and mail cards/gifts for troops, collect supplies and visit SPCA, and collect small toys for Children’s Hospital.

Who can participate? STOP is open to all students in the fourth and fifth grades. They must fill out an application with one adult recommendation and maintain an "S" or "E" in all citizenship areas. If they turn in an application, they are part of the group.

**Reflections is Saved! Volunteers needed to help our Coordinator. **

We are so pleased to announce that your children will be able to participate in Reflections this year! A parent has generously volunteered her time to run it. She does need a small committee, however, so please contact programs@beverlypta.com if you can help. Some duties include publicity, helping to find local judges, and planning a small reception for participants. We make a great team, Beverly parents!
