 Beverly Elementary's Fall Book fair starts TOMORROW with early bird shopping after school!

By supporting the Book Fair, you are supporting the Beverly Library! Our Accelerated Reader (AR) program is only one of the many things that are funded by our book fair sales profit. 

VOLUNTEER TO HELP with the book fair and earn FREE book for your child! Volunteers are needed starting this week! There are still many volunteer spots need to be filled! Volunteers who work at least an hour will be eligible to buy 3 books and get one free. Plus... for every half hour you volunteer, you get entered into a raffle for $50 in book fair money! We will be kicking off the Book Fair with Early Bird Shopping time, followed by Family Movie Night TOMORROW at 6:30! Bring the whole family, come in your PJs, bring blankets and pillows and enjoy The Polar Express with us after Book Fair shopping! No drop-offs, please. We also need volunteers for concessions during the event. Volunteers get FREE bag of Popcorn for their family. Please contact Latha if you can help!
 
 

**DONATIONS NEEDED** We are gifting our amazing staff and teachers a catered Holiday Luncheon, and we just need your help with treats and drinks! Please sign up to get drinks or desserts and bring them to the front office by Thursday December 12 at 10 am.  
 
 

Next Friday, December 13, any grandparents or family members or special “grand-friends” are invited to come and join students for lunch, and then visit the Book Fair! You can bring your own lunch or purchase one from the cafeteria. Below is a list of each grade level's lunch time:

1st  • 11:10 - 11:40
2nd  • 11:25 - 11:55
3rd  • 11:40 - 12:10
4th  • 12:10 - 12:40
5th  • 11:55 - 12:25
 
 

Call for entries from 4th and 5th graders! The field day t-shirt design contest starts today and ends December 13th. 4th and 5th graders only will receive the entry form in PE this week. Please contact one of our PE coaches with questions!
 
 

Participate in a longtime Beverly holiday tradition! Please help us provide gifts and other essentials for a couple deserving local families this year.  Starting tomorrow, you can find the signup form by logging on to your account on the Beverly PTA website (www.beverlypta.com) and selecting the Volunteer menu, then Volunteer Signup. You will then be able to see and click on the form and sign up (form will be available starting Friday, December 6).

All items should be new and unwrapped, and delivered to school by Wednesday afternoon, December 18.  Please label your item with the item code you selected. Please also let the front desk know you are dropping off a gift when you come. Thank you for your help!
 
 
 

Our December volunteer of the month is Alicia Duffy who was the Coordinator of our Danceathon Committee. We had a huge team of committed volunteers working on Daceathon, but we could not have done it without Alicia's incredibly hard work and dedication to the event. We are so appreciative of all of your efforts! You can pick up your parking placard for your Volunteer of the Month parking spot in the front parking lot from Lisa Benatovich in the front office!

Student Council is keeping track and announcing the totals on the announcements every morning. If you need to bring your kids, there is a play area there. Please let us know if you are planning to make it so we can have a headcount!

Parent volunteers, come and join us on November 6 at 11am-1pm, for our Workroom Wednesday! During this time, we will help our fabulous teachers with tasks like copying, laminating, cutting, etc. Bring your lunch, and have fun socializing with other Beverly parents during this low-key time that is so helpful to our teachers!

Danceathon was a big success! Thank you so much to everyone who supported Danceathon last Friday! Our school has raised over $17,000 as of Wednesday morning to fund field trips, curriculum, class parties, and more! 

We have through Friday, October 18, to hit our goal of $20,000. Remember, if we reach $20,000, Ms. Savant will get a pie in the face!

IMPORTANT: JW Entertainment (used to be Jumpstreet at McDermott and Custer) is donating a FREE hour of jumping to each member of the highest-earning class at the end of the week! Any class could win! Please take a few minutes to remind your friends and relatives who haven’t yet donated that they still have through Friday.

Lanay is our amazing PTA Hospitality coordinator as well as one of our Grade Level Coordinators for first grade.
