Funny name...serious subject! 😆 Beverly community, we could not be more excited about bringing Carolyn Brown and her program Hey Dude, Nice Shoes to our school THIS week!

***If you can make it to only one event hosted by the PTA this year, please make it this!!!***

This isn't about shoes...well not really, anyway. That is merely the title of Carolyn's PRO-KINDNESS and ANTI-BULLYING program. She has presented to thousands of students from Kindergarten all the way to 12th grade in the state of Texas, and she always gets rave reviews!

Parents and community members, please don't miss this presentation on Wednesday at 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Beverly Gym. She will speak about how to create kind children and a culture of kindness at our school as well as address what to do if your child is getting bullied.

Carolyn was just recently featured in the Shoutout DFW website. Check out her interview here.

Light refreshments will be served, and we will have a movie playing for Beverly students in the cafeteria adjoining the gym as this presentation is geared toward parents. Students in the cafeteria will be supervised by two adult members of the Beverly PTA Board as well as 8th grade students from the National Junior Honor Society at Hendrick Middle School. There will be snacks for students as well! Beverly students will get the chance for their own age-appropriate presentation on Thursday, 9/29 during class time.

Please note that we are not able to supervise children younger than kindergarten in the cafeteria. Younger children may accompany parents in the gym during the presentation, but we ask that you bring a quiet activity for them and remove them from the gym if they are becoming disruptive. We really appreciate your help in making this program a success for all Beverly families.

Check out Carolyn's video below:
