Save the Date: Beverly Field Day – May 16th!

Get ready for one of the most exciting days of the year! Field Day is happening on Friday, May 16th!

We’re counting on amazing parent volunteers to help make this day a success!
👉 Only volunteers with a completed background check on VOLY will be eligible to participate.
If you plan to volunteer and haven’t submitted a background check for this school year, please complete it as soon as possible through VOLY.

To show your Bobcat spirit, we’re asking students to wear a shirt in their grade-level color:

Kindergarten – Daisy Yellow
1st Grade – Red
2nd Grade – Purple
3rd Grade – Kelly Green
4th Grade – Royal Blue
5th Grade – Navy Blue (or their 5th grade shirt)
Volunteers – Mint

Any school-appropriate T-shirt in your child’s grade color will do! Whether it’s something you already own or something picked up from Amazon, Hobby Lobby, JOANN, Michaels, Target, or Walmart.

While shirts are completely optional, it’s a fun way to show spirit and it makes it easier for staff to spot students throughout the day.

🎒 FIELD DAY CHECKLIST

Make sure your student is prepared for a day full of fun and activity:

✅ Grade-level colored T-shirt (or a similar color)
✅ Bathing suit (optional – can be worn under clothing – we will get wet!)
✅ Change of clothes and shoes
✅ Athletic/tennis shoes only
🚫 No flip-flops, sandals, or Crocs
✅ Sunscreen – Apply before school (staff will not apply sunscreen on students)
✅ Water bottle
✅ Plastic bag for wet clothes

It’s here, Bobcats! Spirit Week at Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream starts today and runs through Friday, May 9, from 5–9 PM each evening at 4200 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX.

Bring the kids (or treat yourself 😉) to a sweet scoop and connect with other Beverly families! With cozy indoor seating and a relaxing outdoor patio, it’s the perfect spot for an ice cream playdate or laid-back hangout.

Calling All Graduating Plano Senior! Apply for the Elizabeth and Thomas Kirby Scholarship!

Are you a graduating senior who attended Beverly Elementary for at least four years? If so, you may be eligible for the Elizabeth and Thomas Kirby Scholarship!

This annual scholarship is offered in partnership with Elizabeth Kirby, Beverly’s founding principal, to honor the memory of her son, Thomas B. Kirby (1973-2017). It is a special opportunity to recognize former Bobcats as they take the next step in their academic journey.
