Bobcats, are you ready to dance? Join us for this FREE and FUN event on October 11 from 6-9 p.m. for our biggest fundraiser and family party of the year! We count on this event to help pay for field trips, curriculum, and many other ways listed above to help Beverly students! The kids will hop, skip, jump, sway or dance as long as their moving! They'll rotate only twice and be with their entire grade plus the grade up from them so there will be lots of kiddos on the dance floor!

This is a FREE event for all Beverly students, staffs, and families. Tickets are NOT necessary to attend. Bring a blanket or camping chair to relax and enjoy the show or play some games, pose for pictures and get in on the glow after dark.

Students may purchase tickets that will be used as tokens to pay for food, drinks, snacks, deserts, DJ Shout-outs, special request teacher dance, raffle for tons of great prizes for you, your family and your student plus so much more. **TONIGHT** Come and join our PTA Meeting tonight at 6pm! Our meeting will be followed by our first Parent Work Night at 6:30.

You’ve asked, and we’ve listened! Tonight will be our inaugural PTA Parent Work Night for ANY parents who love to help but can’t make it up to the school during the day! This will allow us to help our wonderful teachers, AND get to know other parents simultaneously. This is happening on Thursday, October 3, from 6:30-8. We will meet in Room 500 immediately following the General PTA meeting at 6pm.

You don’t need any special experience or training to help! We’ll have everything you need!

✅Yes, this work night is happening during the 4th grade music program, and we totally understand that parents of 4th graders will not be able to make it to this work night. We will have several more this year that you can attend.

Here's an opportunity for parents to help out the teachers outside of school hours! Join us for our first Social Work Night this Thursday October 3, 6:30pm. We are going to do some works to help our teachers or for upcoming PTA events. This could include cutting, laminating, stapling, sorting, etc. This will be a great time to meet other parents and socialize while helping Beverly!

Parent volunteers, come and join us on October 2 at 11am-1pm, for our Workroom Wednesday! During this time, we will help our fabulous teachers with tasks like copying, laminating, cutting, etc. Bring your lunch, and have fun socializing with other Beverly parents during this low-key time that is so helpful to our teachers!

The students have voted for our Danceathon theme! Get ready for Beverly Glows! STOP Club applications will be going out early this week and are due back by September 25th.

What is STOP? Students Thinking of Peers is a PTA sponsored organization meant to encourage our older students of Beverly Elementary to become positive influences in the community. At the school level, students are expected to be good role models to their peers and younger students in the school by being respectful, courteous and friendly. In the local community, STOP students participate in outreach programs to learn how to help others, such as a coat and winter clothing drive in fall, make and mail cards/gifts for troops, collect supplies and visit SPCA, and collect small toys for Children’s Hospital.

Who can participate? STOP is open to all students in the fourth and fifth grades. They must fill out an application with one adult recommendation and maintain an "S" or "E" in all citizenship areas. If they turn in an application, they are part of the group.

**Reflections is Saved! Volunteers needed to help our Coordinator. **

We are so pleased to announce that your children will be able to participate in Reflections this year! A parent has generously volunteered her time to run it. She does need a small committee, however, so please contact programs@beverlypta.com if you can help. Some duties include publicity, helping to find local judges, and planning a small reception for participants. We make a great team, Beverly parents!

**Urgent: From the PTA President Regarding Reflections**

Beverly has a strong tradition of participating in the Reflections contest. We’ve had national award winners, even as recently as last year! I participated in Reflections through the Mansfield ISD when I was a little girl and the program is very special to me.

You may not know that parent volunteers make it possible for our students to submit their work to Reflections. At this time we do not have anyone to help with Reflections. If we do not get at least two parent/grandparent/adult PTA members to volunteer to help by Wednesday, September 11, we will not be able to have Beverly students submit their work to Reflections this year. However, we do plan to have a display and participation awards for students who would still like to create art pieces, even if they are not eligible to submit to the actual Reflections contest.

We realize that parents are busy, and if no one is able to help this year, we hope and anticipate that your children will be able to participate in Reflections through Beverly in future years as volunteers become available and are willing to help facilitate the program.
