Dr. Patricia E. Bath - Inventor of the Laserphaco Probe for Cataract Surgery
Dr. Patricia E. Bath, an ophthalmologist and laser scientist, is an innovative research scientist and advocate for blindness prevention, treatment, and cure. Her accomplishments include the invention of a new device and technique for cataract surgery known as laserphaco, the creation of a new discipline known as "community ophthalmology," and appointment as the first woman chair of ophthalmology in the United States, at Drew-UCLA in 1983.
School Report Card
The 2017-2018 School Report Cards for Beverly Elementary has been released, and posted to the Beverly Elementary website www.pisd.edu/beverly_ar.
The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. The information contained in the School Report Card is described in the “School Report Card Definitions.”
The Federal Report Card is also available at https://tea.texas.gov/FRC.aspx
